Hello

I'm Prakash Ojha
Forestry Enthusiast

About Me.

I'm Prakash Ojha, a passionate forestry graduate student, currently pursuing Masters of Science (MS) in Forestry at Auburn University. My academic and professional journey is rooted deeply in forest operations, forest management, silviculture, GIS, and conservation research. Originally from Nepal, I’ve worked as a Forest Ranger and a Research Assistant, contributing to various conservation projects including human-wildlife conflict, crocodile conservation, and the monitoring of threatened species like Varanus flavescens. I have also co-authored peer-reviewed publications and received prestigious support from organizations like The Explorers Club, The British Herpetological Society (BHS), and Idea Wild.

My technical skillset includes GIS, R programming, Google Earth Engine, and JMP, and I’m currently expanding my expertise in Unmanned Aerial Vechicles (UAVs) technology and forest operations research. Alongside my research, I’ve been involved in volunteering, community education, and mentoring, which has helped me grow as a communicator and leader. Whether it's from the dense forests of Nepal or the pine-rich landscapes of the U.S., my mission is clear: to blend innovation with conservation and make forest science more effective, data-driven, and impactful.
